Thatched Specialists

We have been recognised within the insurance industry for our knowledge in thatched test and inspect, wiring upgrade and new installations.

The rules and regulations are different from your standard installation due to the risk of propagation of fire caused by incorrect wiring methods within the thatched areas and rodent damage.

The cable that is preferred by insurance companies and to comply with IEE wiring regulations is called MICC (mineral insulated copper conductor), we as a company have devised a method of rewiring existing installations with the new MICC in most occasions with no or minimal damage to the plaster or decoration within the property.

Other wiring methods are available and only site can determine the best method of installation for you application and requirements.

Please call our office for any further advice and ask to talk to a senior engineer.
